The Finance Assistant supports the Finance Officer in managing finance tasks for DRC operations in Abyei Field Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping; daily ledger updates to balance cash books.
- Ensure all purchases and payments are documented and authorized.
- Manage and control petty cash and staff cash advances.
- Prepare payment vouchers and ensure proper authorization.
- Issue cheques upon verification of service/supply delivery.
- Assist with monthly financial reports and project expenditure tracking.
- Maintain updated records for project assets, office equipment, and office finances.
- Perform general administrative support to ensure office efficiency.
Education/ Experience /Skills
- Desirable: Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or Public Administration.
- Minimum 2 years in a similar finance/admin role with an international NGO.
- Proficient in English (written and oral); Juba Arabic is an asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; Proactive and reliable with a team-oriented mindset.
- Willing to work flexible hours and travel to field locations across South Sudan.
- Nationality Requirement; Must be a South Sudanese national.
