About the job
Support the development and management of the MEAL strategy and workplan; and contribute to DRC strategy, DRC accountability commitments and learning needs and priorities in the area of responsibility.
Support effective implementation of the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning strategies and global standards; support mainstreaming MEAL throughout the PCM and reinforce quality programme management in the area of responsibility.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
MEAL Strategy & Capacity Building
- Implement and adapt DRC MEAL model and guidance at the country or field level.
- Apply GDPR and data protection principles in MEAL data management.
- Support training and capacity building for program/sector staff.
- Promote collaboration among internal/external stakeholders to improve MEAL functions.
Results Monitoring & Program Quality
- Support the integration of MEAL in all stages of the project cycle.
- Develop and manage MEAL tools (e.g., indicator tracking tools, MEAL plans).
- Participate in project reviews (kick-off, quarterly, close-out).
- Support and conduct field-level monitoring and data collection.
- Ensure data analysis and reporting meet internal and external requirements.
- Uphold ethical and protection standards during MEAL activities.
Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP)
- Strengthen and implement community feedback mechanisms.
- Process complaints and feedback in a timely, confidential, and ethical manner.
- Ensure CHS principles are applied in field operations.
Required
- 2–3 years of experience in M&E or community development, ideally with NGOs.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data collection and participatory methods.
- Familiar with data tools: Kobo Toolbox, ODK, ArcGIS, CommCare.
- Experience with DRC’s core sectors is an advantage.
- Basic data analysis and quality control experience.
- Critical thinking, learning mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
