Who are we?
You are part of the Global IT department in DRC Danish Refugee Council (DRC). You work closely with the IT colleagues in Denmark and the 30+ country offices where DRC is operating. The IT team is as diverse as the people we assist. You belong to the IT Support and Operations team and work closely with colleagues implementing IT Projects
About the job
As M365 Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of the Microsoft 365 environment at DRC. You will collaborate closely with the Digital Workplace Lead to design and implement technical solutions that reinforce governance, enhance security, and align with the organization’s business needs. You will also provide expert support and troubleshooting to resolve incidents registered by DRC employees to maintain the operational continuity of the M365 services.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Ensuring the availability and health status of the M365 tools by tracking MS updates, handling incidents and upgrades, and investigating the dependencies with other apps in the IT infrastructure, in close collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
- Managing the SharePoint, and Teams Admin Centers, including advanced configuration and reporting using built-in tools and custom scripting solutions (e.g., PowerShell, PnP).
- Performing ongoing maintenance and support tasks in M365 tools, including site and group management, permission management, metadata, integration with external apps, etc.
- Providing second-line support for escalated incidents related to Microsoft 365 tools, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with end users. Sharing relevant knowledge and training with first-line support for efficient ticket management.
- Developing and deploying technical solutions in close collaboration with the Digital Workplace Lead.
- Attending recurring team meetings, collaborating, and providing advice and training to key stakeholders.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have admin experience across the M365 suite. You know how to provide support related to M365 apps and how to develop and deploy technical solutions that adapt to the needs of DRC’s challenging environments. You enjoy working in an international setup dealing with challenges faced in different country operations.

Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- An academic degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience as an M365 admin, including SharePoint and Teams Admin Centers, and Entra ID.
- Experience with site and team lifecycle management and Compliance Center.
- Deep understanding of M365 app integration and dependencies.
- Proven experience in PnP PowerShell scripting for advanced management of M365 tools.
- Experience providing support for troubleshooting and incident management for M365 tools.
- Proven experience developing solutions using Power Automate, leveraging MS Lists, Metadata, etc.
- Fluent in English
Desirable
- Basic understanding of SQL and database management for the MOCA365 site provisioning tool.
- Basic understanding of PNP and XML for creating and managing site templates for MOCA365.
- Power Platform and Power Apps.
- Microsoft Purview: experience with data governance and classification
- Understanding of M365 Copilot setup, including configuration, security control and governance frameworks to ensure responsible and secure use of AI productivity tools.
- Modern device management with Intune & Autopilot.
- Virtual desktops (Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365).
- Cloud & Infrastructure Integration - Migrating workloads to Microsoft 365/Azure and integrating third-party apps.
